to define the globally unique MSc in Manufacturing 4.0 by intElligent and susTAinable technologies – meta 4.0.

Ecole Centrale de Lyon

Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Saint-Etienne

École Centrale de Lyon, established in 1857, is one of the most prestigious graduate schools in France. Its research is especially strong in acoustics, nanotechnology, biosciences but also in manufacturing. Within the Ecole Centrale de Lyon, the École Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Saint-Étienne (ENISE), coordinator of this joint programme, is internationally recognized for its research in this field with the Laboratory for Tribology and System dynamics, part of the French National Centre for Scientific Research, and its research group based in Saint-Etienne.

Polytechnic University of Turin

Polytechnic University of Turin was the first Italian Engineering School, founded in 1859 in the wave of the technical and scientific innovation that gave rise to the most prestigious European polytechnic schools in the mid-19th century. Engineers, architects, designers and urban planners have been trained at the Polytechnic University of Turin for over 160 years with rigor, integrity and high-level standards. University of Ljubljana in Slovenia

University of Ljubljana is the oldest and largest higher education and scientific research institution in Slovenia, with its rich tradition founded in 1919. It has approximately 40,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and employs around 6,000 higher education teachers, researchers, assistants and administrative staff in 23 faculties and three arts academies. The University of Ljubljana has been ranked among the top 500 universities by the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities. The central building, all three academies and faculties are located in the centre, giving the university and its students a ubiquitous presence in the city.

Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Norway

The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is a public university in Norway and the largest university by enrolment in the country. NTNU in its current form was established by the King-in-Council in 1996 by the merger of the former University of Trondheim and other university-level institutions, with roots dating back to 1760. The university’s headquarters campus is located in Trondheim, with regional campuses in Ålesund and Gjøvik. NTNU is consistently ranked in the top one percentage among the world’s universities with about 9,000 employees and 42,000 students.

Technical University of Chemnitz in Germany

Chemnitz University of Technology is a cosmopolitan university with strong regional, national and international networks. It is home to about 2,300 academic and administrative employees as well as more than 9,600 students from about 90 countries. It is thus the third largest university in Saxony. In terms of the proportion of foreign students, Chemnitz University of Technology occupies a top position among state universities nationwide. Mines Saint-Etienne in France

École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Étienne is a graduate engineering school and research institute aka « Grande École d’Ingénieurs » founded in 1816.
